When you're used to use roll-on or spray deodorants, it might feel weird for you to even think of a cream deodorant that you apply as a .... well a cream under your armpits. 

For me, ever since I was a teenager and in the volleyball team, I was always on the lookout for deodorants without alcohol as I found that it didn't work well with my skin and perspiration. I didn't have a wide choice in Mauritius and sometimes I felt I ended up stinking more with the deodorants than actually feeling fresh. And the ones with alcohol had a tendency to leave a dark stain on the skin. On top of that, I didn't like the fact that the fragrance of many spray deodorants were either too strong or synthetic for me.

It has always been a struggle for me to find the right one and I kept changing brands without ever being absolutely satisfied. Therefore over 3 years ago, I thought why don't I formulate one as I'll be anyhow the first person to test its efficacy. I also wanted the deodorant to have a subtle and fresh scent so that it is not overpowering and clashing with my perfume... (oh yes! I'm totally a perfume girl with a strong inclination to Haute Perfumery collections).

By now, you know that o.Moi is a green skincare brand, so of course the formulation of the cream deodorant would have to be natural. I have to admit that it took numerous trials to reach the final formulation. I even gave up at one point and took a break from this formulation. But persistance always give results right? I did get it and was totally satisfied too with the scent eventually and after the stability tests approved by a third-party lab, it was ready to be launched. 

Hence the Déodorant Crème Botanique was launched in September 2017...  2 years ago already! It is a 100% natural cream deodorant and the cream texture changes into a powdery finish upon application on the skin. For me, I use it on a daily basis every morning and ever since, I haven't had the need to look for any other one to do one thing: keep odour at bay and feel fresh all day. It even passed the test under 90 minutes of Bikram Yoga (in a room of 40 degrees Celsius).

I'm happy to say that it is a product that is ordered from customers from different parts of the world. I have even had messages from a few, asking if I would consider having different scents. The answer is no, at least not for the time being. The scent  is subtle and suitable to both men and women. Just for the record, my hubby has always totally switched to the Déodorant Crème Botanique and there's always one in his travel pouch. :) 

I agree that it may be a big change for someone used to the usual sprays or roll-ons to switch to applying your deodorant with the fingertips. However, for me, the efficacy and knowledge that there are no nasties in this formulation have quickly override the fact that it is not a roll-on or a spray. It is free from aluminium, paragons, synthetic fragrances, silicones and alcohol. But then, as this saying in French : "Les goûts et les couleurs ne se discutent pas" - meaning that there are no arguing about matters of preference for tastes and colours. :)

On another note, I was thrilled when this deodorant won the award "Editors' Choice" by The Beauty Shortlist Awards 2018 from the UK.
